My First Week of Nursing Informatics
My first week of Informatics took a lot of getting used to because of the late start. I had to get used to the forums we use to upload assignments and turn in my assignments on time. Thankfully the first lecture helped me get an understanding of our first topic Nursing Informatics. According to Lee Andrea, “Nursing Informatics is a specialty that integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data information, knowledge,and wisdom in nursing practice” (Lee, 2014, para 1). With this information I was able to understand that nursing informatics assists nurses and health care providers give appropriate and effective care to their patients through the use of technology.
